Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate is experienced, detail oriented, and a strong leader. Pay rate depends on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and plate food according to kitchen specifications
- Manage kitchen flow, keeping service smooth, and taking charge when the head chef is away
- Preparing food and stepping into any kitchen station that needs help during a rush
- Coordinate food preparation and presentation
- Tracking stock levels, ordering supplies, and helping manage food costs
- Enforcing food safety rules and checking that every dish matches the required standards for taste and presentation
- Maintain appropriate levels of inventory and product
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED
- Extensive previous culinary experience
- ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification
- Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes
- Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure
- Excellent management and leadership skills
Compensation: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
